Year 6 students went to Lembang, just outside Bandung, for their annual camp. On the way to camp, we had a great time singing and dancing to songs chosen by the students/DJs. Within an hour of arriving at The Green Forest Resort and with a hearty lunch in our stomachs, we went straight to the Bandung Treetop Adeventure Park, where we practised being risk-takers by participating in a treetop high ropes course! To top it all off, every rope course finished with a flying fox. Our second day started early, as we had to get to Tangkuban Perahu (a live volcano!), where we trekked around the first smouldering crater. Most visitors stop there, but we trekked another 4km down the volcano to the second crater where we got to dip our feet into geo-thermal hot springs! Afterward, we went straight to a hot spring pool, where we got to soak our tired bones in soothing warm water. Needless to say, we were all early to bed that night after an exhausting yet exhilarating day. Students enjoyed participating in new outdoor experiences, as well as the evening activities, such as roasting marshmallows around a campfire, making s’mores, telling spooky stories, and playing lots of games.
