Our learner profile of the month at ACG School Jakarta is ‘reflective’. In our classrooms, we create environments where students are engaged in the process of making meaning. In guiding students to develop the habits of reflection, teachers become facilitators by empowering students to monitor their own progress, construct meaning from the content learned and from the process of learning it, and apply their learning to other contexts and situations. We want students to link their current experiences to previous experiences. In order to reflect, we want students to act upon and process information, synthesize and evaluate the information and then apply what has been learned to new situations.
