Halloween Movie Night 2018

In the past, the Student Council has hosted a variety of events. Recently, one that resonated the most with the secondary students – and has been a tradition for the past two years – is a Movie Night. The Student Council members brainstormed an easily-accessible Halloween-themed event where students could have a relaxing evening in which we could raising funds. This was how the idea for a Halloween Movie Night came about. Our events have always been for a charitable cause, and since BOSF was visiting us this term, we decided to use the Halloween Movie Night as an opportunity to continue our support towards BOSF. However, in light of recent natural disasters in Lombok and Palu, ACG School Jakarta has placed efforts to alleviate the aftermath. So, it came to our attention that it would only be right if we contributed as well by donating about a third of our profits to Givealittleindo.

Attendees came dressed-up with a costume, and only had to pay Rp 45,000 to enjoy two horror/thriller movies whilst munching on two slices of pizza and sipping on a bottle of coca-cola. We are glad to announce that this year, with the help of the Movie Night committee, the Student Council broke last year’s figures. We had 111 participants – from that, we generated Rp 1,625,000! Nevertheless, we firmly believe we can still do better in the near-future.
