On 23 February the ACG School Jakarta Orcas swim team took part in the annual JAAC Swim Championships. This was a key meet of the season with all notable international schools and club teams in the Jakarta area taking part. With a minimum age requirement of ten years old, the Orcas brought twelve of their twenty-three swimmers to compete in a wide range of individual and relay events. Well done to all the Orcas on the many “personal best” times that were achieved, and special congratulations to these swimmers who earned medals in the following events:

Aiman (team captain):
2nd place overall. Boys 14 & Under 50m Freestyle. 29.81
3rd place overall. Boys 14 & Under 100m Individual Medley. 1:17.25

Leila, Isabel, Nadira, Etarina:
3rd place overall. Girls 14 & Under 200m Medley Relay. 2:30.74

Next up is the Aqua Dragons Open on 16 March, where the full Orcas squad will look to build upon their recent achievements and results at this two-day short course event.
