Our play-based learning environment captures their natural curiosity and sense of wonder. Our core subjects are complemented by single-subject classes, including Physical Education, Swimming, Visual Arts, Music and Bahasa Indonesia – all delivered in a warm and nurturing environment.

A positive foundation for learning

At ACG School Jakarta we introduce children to a love of play and learning, by creating opportunities to explore, experiment, solve problems and express themselves as individuals.

Personal development for life

Along with a positive start to learning, our teachers place an emphasis on oral language development and nurturing social relationships. Our teachers know a structured foundation is important for young children, to help them develop and grow into confident individuals.

We provide an exceptional learning space for our young students, with high-quality staff who care and guide our young children.

  • Our children

We believe that every child is unique and talented, bringing their own skills, knowledge and interests which can be supported and built upon. They are natural researchers, confident and capable of leading and directing their own learning.

  • The role of the adult

We believe that children and adults are partners in learning. We act as researchers to understand children’s thinking to develop and extend their ideas. We are intentional in our planning for play and inquiry. We provide a wide variety of materials, experiences and activities that help children develop holistically.

  • Learning environment

We believe in creating a learning environment that is child-centered and allows for personalized learning and supports individual interests and motivations. We take inspiration from Reggio Emilia where the environment is calm, organized and rich in materials by using colours and resources from nature. Our learning environment promotes relationships, communication, collaboration and conversation.

Our curriculum prepares children with the skills for future learning, while honoring their right to a nurturing, playful environment and learning experience.

  • Play

We believe that play is essential for children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Through play, children develop the capacity for creative thinking, problem-solving abilities and social skills. Play and exploration are central to the well-being, development and learning of our ACG students.

  • Parents as partners

We believe that parents are their child’s first teachers. We encourage our families to take an active role in the education process. We believe that strong relationships with our ACG families promotes positive parent-child relationships, and the ongoing learning and development of children and parent
